Update: 5 February 2020

Are you ready for the transition to myGovID and RAM?

The transition to a new authentication method is progressing well, with over 150 organisations already successfully connected.

If you or your staff have not yet set up your myGovID and linked individuals to your organisation through the Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM), we would encourage you to do so online now. Information and guidance is available on the myGovID and RAM websites.

If you have specific questions or would like more assistance with this process, you can attend one of the information sessions which will be held across Australia in late February and early March. These 90-minute sessions are optional and aim to give organisation managers an overview of the new authentication method and the amended process to access the Data Exchange.

Please register via the Data Exchange website to attend a face-to-face session. A webinar version will also be made available on our website after the roadshow.

End of the reporting period

The July to December 2019 reporting period is now closed.

As communities across Australia continue to be threatened and impacted by elevated fire conditions, ongoing bushfires and other natural disasters, the department is implementing an extension to this due date for organisations delivering services in fire affected areas. Such organisations will have until 11:59pm (AEDT) Saturday 29 February 2020 to enter their data for the July to December reporting period. This is a one-month extension from the usual deadline of 30 January 2020.

If your organisation is not located within the fire affected areas, but is impacted by the ongoing bushfires or by other natural disasters across the country, please contact your Funding Arrangement Manager to discuss an extension. If you are unsure who your Funding Arrangement Manager is, you may call the Community Grants Hub on

1800 020 283.

If you need an extension due to different exceptional circumstances, please complete a system re-opening request using the Request to reopen the Data Exchange form.

Organisation Overview Report

As part of the Data Exchange’s ongoing reports development cycle we’ve identified a couple of minor inconsistencies in two visualisations in the organisation overview report. This is impacting the way group clients are presented for service types on the Attorney General’s Department sheet only.

The Data Exchange team will implement fixes in the coming weeks to correct these. As a result you may see a very minor change in the reports.

Performance improvement

We’ve been working behind the scenes to improve system speeds. Submitting data to the Data Exchange is now faster. The improvements do not impact data categories or reporting fields but you should notice a great improvement in the time it takes to navigate between fields.
